Check out the schedule of events planned for Homecoming 2023 on Nov. 2-4! More events and information about specific events will be available as Homecoming approaches.

Invite prospective students to visit Harding during Homecoming weekend for Black and Gold Day! Tickets for the musical and football game are available to prospective students and their families for 50% off. Ask your Admissions counselor for the code to receive the discount.

Monday, October 30

5 p.m. — Homecoming Parade, Beginning at East Pleasure Avenue and ending at Wildcat Park across from Harding Academy, it promises to be a great way to celebrate our centennial as we take a look at the decades gone by! Featuring walking and riding groups, trailers, our Homecoming Court, first responders, and more from both the University and Academy, bring your lawn chairs and line up from Legacy Park all the way down Park Ave. to Wildcat Park!

Thursday, November 2

8 a.m. - 5 p.m. — Welcome Center, David B. Burks American Heritage Building lobby in front of the alumni office

8 a.m.-5 p.m. — Centennial: Reflecting on 100 Years of Art and Design art show, Stevens Art Gallery, featuring work spanning the century created by our alumni, faculty, and staff. 

8 a.m. - 5 p.m. — Linda Byrd Smith Museum of Biblical Archaeology, first floor of McInteer Center for Bible & World Missions. 100+ artifacts on display. 

8 a.m. - 10 p.m. — Scholastic Book Fair,  Betty Ann Watson Education Resource Center,  Thornton Education Building, Room 334. All proceeds will help purchase books for the Watson Center.  

9 a.m. — Chapel, Benson Auditorium

Visit the First Ladies Garden, outdoor classroom, secret garden and serendipity garden, located behind Pattie Cobb Hall near Shores and Pryor halls.

Harding History Tour — Take a walk down memory lane with the self-guided Harding History Tour! Scan the QR codes at iconic campus locations to learn more about the story of our University.

10 a.m. - 2 p.m. — Latin Fest, McInteer Rotunda, Walton International Scholars will showcase their home countries (Central America and Mexico) with food, displays, traditional dress and dance. Admission $5.

5 p.m. — “Live at Five” broadcast, Reynolds Center TV studio. Alumni are invited to sit in during the broadcast.

5:30 p.m. — Heritage Circle Banquet, Founders Room, second floor of Heritage Building. Golden, Emerald, Platinum, Platinum Plus, Diamond and Diamond Plus Circles inductions and reunions will honor classes of  ’73, ’68, ’63, ’58, ’53, ’48. Two free tickets for inductees; $20 for others, hardingtickets.com.  

6 p.m. — Volleyball vs. Arkansas Tech, Rhodes-Reaves Field House

6:45 p.m. — Foreign Language Department Alumni Reception and Speaker, Upstairs of the Holland-Waller Center, Open to anyone who has studied or traveled with foreign language faculty. 

7 p.m. — The 1924 Experience: Dr. Beverly Gage, Cone Chapel, Join us for a special presentation on J. Edgar Hoover by Pulitzer Prize winning author, Dr. Beverly Gage.

Friday, November 3

Black and Gold Visit DayHosted by Admissions, this is a one-day group visit event designed to provide a comprehensive overview of what Harding has to offer you. You will have the opportunity to tour campus, meet with professors, sit in on classes, meet current students and much more. A discount code for tickets to the Harding Football game and our annual Homecoming musical will be provided for those staying for the weekend festivities.

Space for reunion classes from 2018, 2013, 2008, 2003, 1998, 1993, 1988, 1983, 1978, 1973, 1968, 1963, 1958, 1953, 1948 will be available as well. 6:30 p.m. — Walton International Scholarship Program Alumni Reunion and Dinner, Founders Room. Open to all Walton alumni. Come reunite with fellow Walton Scholars, meet others from the nearly four decades of the program's existence, and visit with current WISP students. For those not in attendance, the program will be livestreamed on Facebook.

6:30 p.m. — Sankofa Gala sponsored by The Harding University African American Alumni Association, Cone Chapel, $40.  Theme: Commemorating the Past – Inspiring the Future. A time to honor the contributions of African Americans at Harding, to learn from the past, reconcile past hurts and bridge the racial divide. It will be a time to celebrate our oneness in Christ. Come sing, fellowship and celebrate with us. Original art and prints will be available for sale to raise funds for International Programs scholarships.
