Christian Academy Choral Festival to be held on campus

The ninth annual Christian Academy Choral Festival will be held on Harding University’s campus Nov. 10-11. Choral ensembles from six Christian schools will be featured. The festival will end with a free concert in Benson Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 11.

The schools scheduled to attend include:

  • Brentwood Christian School-Austin, Texas
  • Middle Tennessee Christian School-Murfreesboro, Tenn.
  • Mars Hill Bible School-Florence, Ala.
  • Central Arkansas Christian-North Little Rock, Ark.
  • Goodpasture Christian School-Nashville, Tenn.
  • Harding Academy-Searcy, Ark. 

Schools will perform individually and then will join to perform five final pieces at the end of the concert. Harding’s Director of Choral Activities, Dr. Cliff Ganus III, will host the event. Prior to the concert, the Harding Chorus and Belle Canto will perform for the group at 3 p.m.

The directors of the choral groups are Missy Weaver for Brentwood Christian School; Shawn Frazier for Middle Tennessee Christian School; Doug Jackson for Mars Hill Bible School; Janice Northen for Central Arkansas Christian; Matthew Johnson for Goodpasture Christian School; and Craig Jones for Harding Academy.
