University to offer MBA classes in El Dorado
The Paul R. Carter College of Business Administration will be offering Master of Business Administration classes in El Dorado beginning January 2013 to May 2015. This is the University’s third cohort since 2008.
According to President and CEO of El Dorado’s Chamber of Commerce Henry Florsheim, only five percent of the Union County labor force has achieved a graduate degree or higher. This compares unfavorably with the state average of six percent and national average nearing 10 percent.
“Companies take a hard look at this statistic when looking for places to locate a business,” Florsheim said. “If we want to lift our community and economy up, we need to continually improve the skill level and educational attainment of our citizens.”
The following MBA classes will be offered:
- Management Skills & Analysis
- Ethics, Legal & Social Issues
- Managing People & Organizations
- Financial Management
- Quantitative Business Analysis/Research
- Applied Theory for Business People
- Marketing Management
- Accounting Theory & Practice
- Ethics in the Legal Environment
- Corporate Strategy & Planning (Capstone)
Harding University faculty and adjunct instructors will teach the classes. To download the application for admission, visit www.harding.edu/MBA. The deadline to apply is Dec. 17. For more information, contact Melanie Kiihml, MBA recruiting manager, at email@example.com or 501-279-4523.
