Orchestra and Wind Ensemble to perform

The Harding University Orchestra and Wind Ensemble will perform April 22 and 23, respectively, featuring symphony pieces and an original suite from senior music major Cesar Betia.

Monday, April 22, the Orchestra will perform in the Administration Auditorium at 7 p.m. The show will feature “Symphony No. 4, Movement 2” by Johannes Brahms and ”Dreams” by Cesar Betia from Venezuela.

Tuesday, April 23, the Wind Ensemble will perform in the Administration Auditorium at 7 p.m. The performance will feature “Symphony No. 2, Movement 3” by Frank Tichelli, “Southern Harmony, Movements 1, 2, 3” by Donald Grantham, “Toccata” by Girolamo Frescobaldi, and “Liberty Fanfare” by John Williams with narration.

Admission is free. Each group will perform under the direction of Dr. Mike Chance, assistant professor, director of bands and coordinator of the instrumental division. For more information, call the Harding University department of music at 501-279-4343.
