SPEL (The Social Phenomena in Education Research Lab)
The Social Phenomena in Education Research Lab (SPEL) provides graduate students with an opportunity to participate in conducting high-quality empirical research beyond the realm of traditional coursework. The SPEL experience involves hands-on mentorship by faculty investigators and collaboration with other student researchers to develop original research to present at academic conferences or publish in scholarly journals. SPEL members also have the opportunity to serve on the editorial board of the Journal of Graduate Education Research (JGER). S.A.L.T. (Scholars Advancing Learning and Teaching) The objective of SALT is to provide education majors an opportunity to discuss issues in education on a local, state, and nation level. It provides idea workshops and training for the local teachers and becomes involved in promoting education for the children in the local schools. Membership is open. All secondary and Elementary Educations majors are encouraged to join. Contact
