What is Generation HU?

GenerationHU seeks to build a culture and understanding of philanthropy and thankfulness among current students as early as their freshman year. Educating students about the impact and significance of the power of giving can inspire future alumni with increased engagement. Through programs like Say Thanks Day and the Senior Gift Campaign, GenerationHU provides opportunities to strengthen Harding's overall giving program while encouraging students to give any gift, no matter the dollar amount.

Say Thanks Day 2021

Beginning in 2013, Say Thanks Day has become an important annual student event that highlights and recognizes the powerful impact of donor generosity. Harding is blessed every day by individuals from all over the world who give financially to support this ministry. These gifts propel this institution to become one of the leading Christian liberal arts universities.

Typically, many students are unaware of the sacrificial investments made by our donors. On Say Thanks Day usually held every spring, students can see the impact of university gifts and say thank you to donors through writing postcards and making videos. Donors are personally thanked while the student body is left with a sense of deep gratitude. It’s a win-win!

Student Emergency Fund

Harding has established a new program called the Student Emergency Fund to assist students in emergency situations.

This fund will assist Harding students by providing financial support for unexpected emergency situations. The Student Emergency Fund has the ability to allow students to meet their needs and continue their education at Harding.

Students seeking financial assistance through this fund will visit the Dean of Students in the Office of Student Life to discuss their options. Ask for Zach Neal in Student Center room 218.

The number of students who can be served by this fund is limited by availability. The fund is sustained by continual contributions from current students and our young alumni.

We hope you will join in our effort to help current Harding students by giving to the Student Emergency Fund.
