For additional course design and accessibility resources:

This semester, the Center for Learning with Technology present to you three (3) "Level Up" opportunities that cover major teaching and learning topics. It is our hope that this will give you a chance to sharpen your teaching tools and elevate your skills to improve your course. The three (3) main focuses are: Universal Design and Accessibility (Feb), Course Design Lounge (March), and Course Preparation (April).

Universal Design and Accessibility

Universal design and accessibility give all students equal learning opportunities. Come learn more about Universal Design and Accessibility, their principles, and how to use them to make your course equitable. These sessions will contain a hands-on portion to help you engage in what you are learning. We will address six (6) of the seven (7) Pillars of Accessibility within the framework of Universal Design.

Course Design Lounge: Sip, Chat, Repeat

Come meet us! Mingle and discuss teaching and learning strategies with your peers. Also available is the opportunity to become acquainted with the course design and e-learning staff, processes, and tools to help you reach your students more fully. Bring your laptop if you have specific questions or concerns you’d like to illustrate.

Course Preparation - Echo 360, Canvas, and Course Design Basics

In April, we will be discussing different tools you can use in your class. If you’re looking for a way to minimize your students asking “what they missed” from a class, Echo 360 can help. It captures your presentation, allows your students to replay missed classes, and provides accessible and interactive options. How about if you’re new to Canvas? We have a session for you. Come learn basic Canvas features that are available to use in your course. If you’re tasked with building a new course or enhancing your preexisting course? There is a session for you, come talk to us about Course Design. We can help you get started and provide you with guidance about new ideas and tools that can be used in both online and in-person classes.

How to Register
