We consider the health, safety and well-being of students involved in our international programs of the utmost importance. Prior to and upon arrival to each study abroad campus, our staff and program directors emphasize health, safety and situational awareness with preparedness orientations. Students are required to register with the U.S. State Department’s STEP Program to receive information and assistance in times of emergency. In the event of a political, social or natural emergency, the program directors will follow significant safety protocol.
Harding University Study Abroad participants are provided with supplemental international health insurance. Participants also have access to medical, evacuation and security assistance for the duration of their study abroad program through International SOS. Coverage details will be provided to program participants during orientation.
