We are very excited to have Angelyn Franks, SLP.D., CCC-SLP, Speech-Language Pathologist, Acentra Health, Vilonia, Arkansas as our guest speaker.  Dr. Franks is a strong advocate for mental health and well-being in the workplace.  Dr. Franks will be speaking on the topic “Beyond Burnout:  Crafting a Sustainable SLP Career Through Authentic Self-Care". 

 

TOPIC:  BEYOND BURNOUT:  CRAFTING A SUSTAINABLE SLP CAREER THROUGH AUTHENTIC SELF-CARE

In speech-language pathology, burnout is a prevalent issue affecting job satisfaction and patient care. This session examined its causes, symptoms, and consequences. Participants gained insights into the nervous system's role in stress, learned the importance of authentic self-care, and discovered sustainable self-care strategies. It equipped SLPs with tools for fostering resilience and well-being.
