Summer Undergraduate Research in Florence

Summer Undergraduate Research in Florence, Italy, allows participants to spend the first two weeks on Harding’s campus in classes before traveling to Florence for four weeks. Students work with department faculty and internationally known lecturer and researcher Dr. Chiara Azzari in an Italian research lab.

Preprofessional health clubs

The preprofessional health clubs in various fields help students prepare for entrance into graduate programs within the health sciences.

What can you do with a degree in health sciences?

Pharmacy

A Doctor of Pharmacy is highly versatile, preparing you to dispense prescriptions to individual patients and educate them on their health plans while also setting you up for success in areas such as food safety, poison control, marketing and medical strategy, and forensic science. 

Pharmaceutical scientist

Pharmacists are primarily involved in direct or indirect patient care while pharmaceutical scientists use their knowledge and skills to develop new drugs, therapies and treatment approaches to improve established practices. 

College professor

Pharmacists may choose to teach in doctoral programs, preparing future pharmacists for lives of service. These professionals usually also maintain a regular practice to keep their skills sharp and share current knowledge and experience with their students.
