Dr. Steven Frye is the chair of the Department of Theatre and has directed or produced more than 100 shows in his career. He serves as the director for Spring Sing and the producer for Searcy Summer Dinner Theatre. He is the advisor for the Acting major and for those minoring in Theatre.

Dottie Frye is the advisor for Theatre majors and is the director of our children’s theatre improvisational troupe, The Pied Pipers. The troupe performs for over 16,000 children each year in regular tours across the US and UK. She also serves as the director of the Hosts/Hostesses and Ensemble for Spring Sing.

Ben Jones has worked with the Harding Theatre Department since 2008. He is the supervising advisor for student in the Theatre Education degree, and he is the Department Technical Director. He is the set designer for Spring Sing, and trains students in the safe practices of scenic construction. He takes Theatre students to New York each January to see Broadway shows, experience educational tours, and meet theatre professionals.

Britton Lynn has a Masters of Fine Arts from the University of Tennessee in scenic design. Britt has worked at Harding University since 2003. His students have won design competition awards at the Southeastern Theatre Conference and the United States Institute for Theatre Technology. His freelance work has been seen in regional theatres and universities across the southeast.
