Admission Requirements

APPLICATIONS ARE NOW BEING ACCEPTED

In order to be admitted to the grant, please follow all steps below:

  • Submit a completed, signed Supplemental Information Form pdf to spedrta@harding.edu
  • Submit an online application.
    • Create a login and password.
    • Select "2024 Entry Year" and "2024 Masters/Doctoral" to begin.
    • On the personal information page, select "Education" as the College of Study.
    • The Degree/Endorsement Type will be "Grant."
    • Select "Special Education Resource Teachers' Academy" as the Intended Program.
    • Fill out the online application.
  • Request one letter of recommendation via the online application system.
  • Upload a copy of your Arkansas Educator's License to the online application.
  • Request official bachelor's and/or master's transcript(s) be sent to admissions@harding.edu.

Note that for unconditional admission, you must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (or a 3.0 on the last sixty hours or an earned master's degree). Provisional admission can be granted to those with a GPA of 2.35 (or 2.75 on the last sixty hours).

Academy 101 - Resource Teacher Academy

Summer I Session: June 3 - 28, 2024

 

SPED 6210 - Characteristics of Students with Exceptionalities

Summer II Session: July 1 - 26, 2024

Synchronous Meeting: Saturday, July 27, 10 a.m. - noon 

 

SPED 6260 - Foundations in Special Education K-12

Fall Semester: August 19 - December 13, 2024 

Synchronous Meeting: Saturday, December 7, 10 a.m. - noon

 

SPED 6220 - Assessment of the Learner with Exceptionalities

Spring Semester: January 13 - May 9, 2025

Synchronous Meeting: Saturday, March 8, 10 a.m. - noon


Synchronous Praxis Prep & Support

Intentional dates have been selected to prepare for the Praxis test. Each meeting is 10 a.m. to noon.

Meeting Dates: July 27, December 7, March 8
