This Master of Science prepares graduates to serve and support students related to their physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being within the context of higher education. Coursework covers the areas of human development, ethics, diversity, counseling, crisis, education, research, business and leadership. The program is delivered in a hybrid format, utilizing on-campus and online coursework, and includes field experience to integrate knowledge and skills.
This 35-hour non licensure program is designed to meet the needs of people currently working in higher education who desire to move into mid-level positions within the college or university.

Harding University’s program uses guidelines provided by the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS) and those recommended by NASPA, Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education.
A Christian Perspective
Harding’s Master of Science in student affairs is taught by faculty members with Christian values. They provide practical tools/techniques for developing professional skills.

Additional Admission Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with a cumulative grade point average of 2.50 or more, or 2.75 on the last 60 hours attested by official transcript(s), or a master's degree attested by an official transcript.
Complete a personal interview with the mental health and wellness faculty.
This accelerated program allows undergraduate students to take up to 12 hours of graduate counseling credits that will count for their undergraduate minor and also give them a head start on a graduate degree.
