2024 Homecoming Schedule

Check out the schedule of events planned for Homecoming 2024 October 25-26! More events and information about specific events will be available as Homecoming approaches.

Invite prospective students to visit Harding during Homecoming weekend for Black and Gold Day! Tickets for the musical and football game are available to prospective students and their families for 50% off. Ask your admissions counselor for the code to receive the discount.

8 a.m. - 5 p.m. — Welcome Center, David B. Burks American Heritage Building lobby in front of the alumni office

8 a.m. - 10 p.m. — Scholastic Book Fair, Betty Ann Watson Education Resource Center, Thornton Education Building, Room 334. All proceeds will help purchase books for the Watson Center.

9 a.m. — Chapel, Benson Auditorium

Visit the First Ladies Garden, outdoor classroom, secret garden and serendipity garden, located behind Pattie Cobb Hall near Shores and Pryor halls.

Harding History Tour — Take a walk down memory lane with the self-guided Harding History Tour! Scan the QR codes at iconic campus locations to learn more about the story of our University.

10 a.m. - 3 p.m. — Latin Fest, McInteer Rotunda, presented by Walton Scholars and organized by Smiles for Christ and Educating for Life, Walton Scholars will showcase their home countries (Central America and Mexico) with food, displays, traditional dress and dance. Admission is free but there is cost for food at the event. Proceeds support volunteer mission efforts in Guatemala and Honduras.

3:45 - 5 p.m. — Debate Team Reception and Demonstration, Reynolds Recital Hall, the debate team will host a reception and hold demonstration debates for alumni, faculty, administrators, and students.

5 p.m. — “Live at Five” broadcast, Reynolds Center TV studio. Alumni are invited to sit in during the broadcast.

5:30 p.m. — Heritage Circle Banquet, Founders Room, second floor of Heritage Building. Golden, Emerald, Platinum, Platinum Plus, Diamond and Diamond Plus Circles inductions and reunions will honor classes of  ’74, ’69, ’64, ’59, ’54, ’49. Two free tickets for inductees; $20 for others, hardingtickets.com.

6 p.m. — Bison Shark Tank, Cone Chapel, second floor of Heritage Building. Join us to witness the innovative ideas our students have created! Vote for your favorite and help decide the winner of the People's Choice Award. A total of $15,000 in prizes will be awarded to the best entrepreneurial pitches.

Black and Gold Visit DayHosted by Admissions, this is a one-day group visit event designed to provide a comprehensive overview of what Harding has to offer you. You will have the opportunity to tour campus, meet with professors, sit in on classes, meet current students and much more. For more information, please contact admissions@harding.edu

5-9 p.m. — Department of Music Reunion, Reynolds Center lobby, Open to anyone who has been involved in music ensembles or academic programs in music.

5 p.m. — Return to the Stage Concert, Reynolds Recital Hall, Featuring former Spring Sing Hosts and Hostesses, $5 tickets in advance at hardingtickets.com or $10 at the door. 

7 p.m. — African American Alumni Association Coffee, Karaoke, and Game Night, Holland-Waller Student Commons. 

7:30 p.m. — Homecoming musical “Tuck Everlasting Benson Auditorium, $20 in the alumni office or online at hardingtickets.com or $25 at the door. Immediately following the musical, join the cast for a meet and greet in the Hammon Student Center.

8 p.m. — Bison 3K G.L.O.W. Run (formerly Bison Stampede), Bison Park in front of the Ganus Activities Complex, $20 for early registration or $25 night of the race. HEAL @ Harding with the Department of Kinesiology challenge you to G.L.O.W. — Go Light Our World at the Bison 3K G.L.O.W. Run or Walk. Enjoy a fun jog or stroll around our beautiful campus and experience the GLOW zones that our student organizations, teams and clubs have for us!

There will be a food truck court located on the west side of the Ganus Activities Complex. Meal seating will be available for you to enjoy your meal while catching up with other Harding family. Enjoy inflatable games inside the GAC as well as a petting zoo at Bison Park on the lawn of the GAC. Reunion classes from 2019, 2014, 2009, 2004, 1999, 1994, 1989, 1984, 1979, 1974, 1969, 1964, 1959, 1954, and 1949 be sure to stop by the alumni tent at the tailgate entrance, located at the arch on the west end of Bison Park.

6:30 p.m. — Sankofa Gala sponsored by The Harding University African American Alumni Association. Cone Chapel, $40. Theme: Change. Healing. Growth. A time to honor the contributions of African Americans at Harding, to learn from the past, reconcile past hurts and bridge the racial divide. It will be a time to celebrate our oneness in Christ. Come sing, fellowship and celebrate with us. Tickets available in the alumni office or online at www.hardingtickets.com through October 21. All proceeds will go towards the Harding University African American Alumni Current Use Scholarship Fund
