HEAL

Our Mission

With a multi-level intervention, HEAL aims to encourage all the Harding community toward a lifestyle approach to exercise, mental health and food by revealing the connection between mind, body and spirit; thus reversing the trend of chronic diseases, fueling student retention, improving academic performance and deepening faith.

Our Vision

HEAL seeks to actively engage the community in thinking about and participating in holistic wellness in opposition to cultural standards.

Support Groups and Care Resources

HEAL, Women of Faith, and various campus partners are coming together to support the mental health and well-being of our students and employees. We have curated a comprehensive list of resources to address a range of issues and addictions that many may face. Please visit the link above to access valuable information and support.

HEAL Bible Study: Defeating the god of health and wellness

As vessels of Christ, we are made for so much more than living in shame and allowing the enemy to have a hold on our views of and efforts to fuel the bodies God gifted us. Intuitive eating is not a diet but a healthy approach to food that frees us to be disciple-makers for Jesus! All are welcome. Reach out to us about the weekly time and place.

HEAL Weekly Workout for Women

Thursdays at 7a.m., Allie Grace Methany leads a class for women in the new HEAL workout room. This class is designed with one goal in mind: to set women free from the societal pressures of having the perfect body and instead embrace themselves as temples of the living God. This class will incorporate light weights with repetitions, mat work, body weight exercises, stretching and meditation. The foundation of this class is faith in the triune God who created each person wonderfully and fearfully in His image. This class is intended to be a place for women to connect their mind, body and spirit through movement and also release lies they believe about themselves. Allie Grace has created workout routines as well as devotionals to fit a specific lesson each week to help women walk more confidently as image bearers.
